1. We are bio, psycho, social, spiritual beings 

  • Bio- we have brains, bodies, and hormones thy impact our behavior

  • Psycho - our mental framework is shaped by the experiences in our lives

  • Social - wired for human connection (dopamine and oxytocin)

  • Spiritual - the truth of who we were created to be - the objective truth

  • If anyone of these go wrong, it can affect our mental health

2. Emotions as messengers rather than disrupters

  • What is the emotion trying to tell me?

  • “God show me the root of this feeling”

3. Emotional Awareness and Self control

  • Being emotionally aware can assist us in having better control over our emotions and help us to be proactive.

4. The "ABC's" 

  • activating event- what triggered the feeling?

  • belief - what did you believe when it happened?

  • consequence - what are the actions that you now want to take since?
